Why STUQ? The Gymnastics Mindset Behind a Brand Made to Move

Every gymnast knows that a routine is not over until the landing. You can show strength, control, and creativity from start to finish, but the final moment still matters. Sticking the landing means finishing strong—and that mindset is where STUQ begins.

Built by a Gymnast

STUQ was founded by Ian Gunther, an elite American gymnast shaped by years of disciplined training, repetition, and performance under pressure.

At Stanford, Ian became a four-time NCAA team champion and a 10-time NCAA All-American. He also represented the United States as a member of the U.S. Senior National Team. Beyond competition, Ian has built a large social audience by sharing gymnastics with a mix of serious skill, creativity, humor, and an honest look at the work behind every routine.

Why STUQ?

In gymnastics, sticking the landing means finishing strong. We spelled it STUQ because we like doing things a little differently.

The name is short, memorable, and rooted in the sport that shaped the brand. It also reflects a bigger idea: progress does not have to look the same for everyone. Whether you are learning a new skill, returning to training, running your first race, or simply moving more, your finish can be your own.

Fun Gear

Training takes commitment, but gear does not have to feel overly serious. STUQ brings personality to products made for real routines, gym bags, and active lives. Movement should leave room for expression, experimentation, and fun.

Smart Design

Athletes notice details. A small design decision can affect comfort, convenience, and confidence. STUQ focuses on practical products with a clear purpose—gear that is simple to use and easy to make part of an active routine.

Made to Move

STUQ is built for bodies in motion: gymnasts, runners, lifters, recreational athletes, and anyone who wants to keep doing what they enjoy.

Our kinesiology tape is one example. It is a flexible tool that some active people use for a tactile cue or a feeling of light support without the movement restriction of rigid athletic tape. Scientific evidence is mixed, outcomes vary, and kinesiology tape should not be treated as a cure, an injury-prevention guarantee, or a replacement for appropriate rehabilitation and professional care.

For educational purposes only; not medical advice. Follow the product directions and stop use if irritation, numbness, increased pain, or other unusual symptoms occur. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have an injury, circulation concerns, sensitive skin, or questions about taping.

An Athlete-Led Point of View

STUQ is not built around the idea that movement must be perfect. It is built around learning, adapting, and showing up again. Gymnastics teaches that improvement comes from thousands of small corrections: one more attempt, one better position, one stronger finish.

That athlete-led perspective guides the brand. We want to make useful gear that fits active lives while keeping movement energetic, expressive, and approachable.

Stick the Landing—Your Way

For us, STUQ is more than a different spelling. It is a reminder to commit to the finish, bring your own style, and keep moving.

Fun gear. Smart design. Made to move.

Stick the landing. Do it your way. Stay STUQ.
